  Research > Astrobiology

According to NASA, the astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution, and future of life in the universe. Here, the topics that we are interested to undertake research in, include but are not limited to the search for extraterrestrial habitats (our solar system planets, exoplanets and moons) and their potential habitability, the recognition of bio & techno signatures of life in extraterrestrial settings and the study of the organic compounds in space.

On July 1, 2015, Aurelian A. Radu, delivered a first initiatory seminar in front of a group of students from the Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest. The seminar was aimed at bringing Astrobiology to the attention of the students as a fascinating and rapidly developing field of scientific research. The students joined temporarily the Institute of Space Science through the “Meet Your Future Employer by Means of Active Practice” program. The PDF file of the presentation can be found here.
