    Between 9 and 26 August, 2020, romanian researchers, members of the Pierre Auger collaboration, from two institutes, Dr. Paula-Gina Isar in collaboration with the MSc. student Dragoș Hîrnea from ISS-Branch of INFLPR and Dr. Alexandru Gherghel-Lascu, respectively Dr. Denis-Iulian Stanca from IHIN-HH, took over on full operational Auger shift, for the first time in Romania, from ISS.

    Today is two weeks since a team of researchers from the Institute of Space Science (Dr. Gina Isar and Mr. Dragoș Hîrnea) operates and monitors in real time, for the first time in Romania, at a great distance of approx. 13.000 km, the optical telescopes and the LIDAR systems of the Pierre Auger Observatory.
