CFS (Colored Fungi in Space) – First Romanian experiment aboard the International Space Station aimed to determine the effect of microgravity and cosmic radiation on the growth and survival of colored fungi species.
- collaboration of the Institute for Space Sciences, Bucharest, Romania with the Romanian Academy Institute of Biology, Bucharest, Romania and with the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece.NTUA, Greece.
- four biocontainers containing fungi and spores were sent to the International Space Station in Februaty 2011 aboard the Discovery space shuttle, and the experiment was housed in the ESA COLUMBUS Module of the Space Station.
