Development of Space Technology

 

• 1978-1996: NIPNE and NITP-Iasi designed and produced the SGR 5, SGR 6, SGR7, SGR8 types 3-axis fluxgate magnetometers which were subsequently embarked on 7 satellite missions.

• 1996: Collaboration to the development of the ISTOK-1 Experiment attached to the PRIRODA Remote Sensing Module of the MIR Space Station

• 2006: Collaboration to the design and development of the Tracker system on the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer AMS-02 for the International Space Station. The AMS-02 will be used to probe for the nature of dark matter and antimatter in the Universe, and was delivered to the Space Station in May 2011 by the shuttle Endeavour.
