Contract no. 81-021/18.09.2007,
S tage IV. High Speed Streams Importance Parameter (I) and Geomagnetic Field
Deadline: 10.12.2009 - Activity IV.1. – Correlation between I Parameter of the Rapid Streams in Solar Wind and some Geomagnetic Parameters (ISS) We calculated the importance parameters (I) of the High Speed Streams with monthly resolution using the different catalogs which cover four solar cycles (SC 20-23). Then we calculated the correlation between importance parameter I and geomagnetic Aa and Ap indices and the corresponding regression lines for each 11-yr solar cycle as well as for the whole interval, 1964-2007. - Activity IV.2 – Undecenal Variation of Geomagnetic Data on the Romanian Territory (IGAR) The analysis of the undecenal variation of the geomagnetic data registered on the Romanian territory was done for the measurements made in Surlari station and some other stations of the national network. The secular variation was extracted from the data series using three different methods. - Activity IV.3 - Dissemination of the results: papers at local and international scientific meetings; publications. (ISS+IGAR) IV. 3. 1. International scientific meetings: - Third International Symposium on Space Climate, Saariselka, Finland, 14-23 March 2009:
